Tropical Chic Paradise
Paradise Renewed
Custom Wedding Stationery and Creative Direction for an Intimate Celebration in Naples, Florida

The Vision
Some celebrations are not about beginning for the first time, but about choosing love again with greater clarity.
For Carla and David, this intimate wedding by the bay marked a new chapter shaped by warmth, elegance, and deep personal meaning. Their story carried both maturity and joy: a couple building a life across distance, drawn together by love, companionship, and a shared attraction to tropical beauty handled with restraint.
What emerged was a stationery story rooted in the bride’s favorites — orange as a vibrant accent, Bird of Paradise as the defining floral inspiration — translated into a suite that felt fresh, refined, and unmistakably their own.
The Invitation Suite
The invitation suite became the visual foundation of the celebration.
It included an invitation, RSVP card, and details card wrapped in vellum and finished with a custom monogram closure. An envelope liner echoed the bespoke pattern created especially for Carla and David, establishing a paper language that felt both tropical and elegant.
Rather than leaning into literal destination motifs, the design introduced a more thoughtful interpretation of tropical style — expressive in color, but grounded in sophistication.
The Celebration Unfolds
Because the gathering was intimate, every detail carried greater weight.
Instead of a traditional menu, a thank-you card was placed at each guest’s setting, designed as a piece more likely to be kept long after the celebration ended. A small sticker in the upper corner quietly marked each guest’s meal choice, allowing the piece to remain personal, functional, and visually consistent with the suite.
The stationery helped shape the atmosphere of the event without excess. It guided the experience with clarity while preserving the intimacy of the day.
Beyond Paper
This project extended beyond stationery alone.
Carla first reached out after being referred through The Hotel Escalante in Naples, where couples often manage many design decisions themselves. In addition to creating the paper goods, I helped define the broader visual direction of the celebration, recommended the cake artist, and supported the couple through an unexpected venue change when their original plans shifted at the last minute.
Helping connect them with Naples Bay Resort and Marina became part of the same work: translating their story into a celebration that still felt aligned with their vision. In that sense, this project became not only a stationery commission, but a creative partnership.
On Collaboration & Gratitude
Projects like this are most meaningful when trust allows the creative process to expand naturally.
From paper goods and floral language to cake artistry and the overall visual mood, every contribution supported the same central story: tropical, intimate, elegant, and renewed. What made this project especially memorable was the opportunity to help shape not only the printed pieces, but the larger experience surrounding them.
