Contemporary Tropical Love Story

An Intimate Destination Wedding

The Vision

In Naples, Florida, McNally and Devaun celebrated an intimate destination wedding surrounded by their closest loved ones.

The atmosphere was warm, personal, and understated, with the outdoor setting of a boutique hotel on Fifth Avenue bringing a contemporary tropical energy to the celebration. Introduced by their wedding planner, McNally’s mother reached out in the final weeks before the wedding, hoping to gift the couple bespoke paper pieces that would elevate the day and reflect their story.

What followed was a project shaped by trust, speed, and clarity of vision.

The Invitation Story

The couple had initially chosen a minimal palette with blue palm motifs, but something about it felt incomplete. The visual language did not yet reflect who they were or how the celebration was meant to feel.

The design direction shifted toward something more personal and less literal. Rather than relying on palm imagery directly, the paper goods introduced a custom floral motif in watercolor tones that suggested tropical movement while remaining refined and contemporary.

This allowed the design to feel cohesive with the flowers and setting, while still honoring the couple’s preference for restraint.

The Celebration Unfolds

Every piece was designed to support a low-key celebration with quiet elegance.

Menus were paired with sleek name tags to honor the couple’s minimalist sensibility while still offering a personalized touch for each guest. The paper details worked in harmony with the floral palette and table design, adding continuity without overwhelming the atmosphere.

What made the project especially meaningful was the emotional context around it: McNally, the first of four siblings to marry, and Devaun, warmly embraced by his new family, chose to celebrate in a way that felt intimate, sincere, and entirely their own.

On Collaboration & Gratitude

This project came together in record time, with less than a month to move from concept to completion.

That kind of timeline only works through collaboration, focus, and a clear emotional center. From planning and floral design to paper and production, every choice was guided by the same goal: to create something beautiful, personal, and fully aligned with the couple’s story.
